Elise Cameron

Growing up in a family full of musicians, Elise found her love of the arts at a young age and never looked back. She performed vocal & instrumental music and danced competitively, though being the comedic and spunky child she was, her parents introduced her to musical theater. At age 13, Elise starred in Annie as Annie at her local community theater. Following high school, she left home to study and graduate from Iowa State University with BA’s in Performing Arts and Music, emphasizing in acting, directing, musical theater, and dance. Notably, Elise has trained at the Open Jar Institute in NYC in summers of 2021 & 2022, having the incredible honor of working with some of Broadway’s finest performers and directors. As well, she just completed a five month tour with Missoula Children's Theatre as a Tour Actor and Director, traveling internationally. Elise is currently based in Central IA, where she performs as an actor & musician, and is a children’s theater educator & choreographer & production manager at Story Theater Company.

Elise has performed at many theaters across the country and is willing and excited to relocate or travel somewhere new! Recently, Elise played Margot in Legally Blonde at Crane River Theater. Some of her all-time favorite theater roles include Ariel in The Little Mermaid, Serena/Margot in Legally Blonde, Judy in Night of the Living Dead (with director Mary Jo Duprey), and Judy in 9 to 5. When Elise is not performing or teaching, you can find her singing along to her favorite Disney movies, coloring and making crafts, or filming Oreo cookie reviews.​
